About Our Founder

Satchidananda Jothi Nikethan International School has been founded by His Holiness Swami Satchidananda Maharaj, who was a disciple of Swami Sivananda was an Indian religious teacher, spiritual master and yoga adept, who gained fame and following in the West. Hailing from Chettipalayam, Coimbatore, Swamiji took sanyas and taught Hatha Yoga and according to him Yoga is one way of making the body Easeful, mind peaceful and life useful. He also established Integral Yoga Institutes all over the world and LOTUS (Light Of Truth Universal Shrine) at Yogaville, Virginia, USA was his brain child where in people from all over the world could visit and follow his main teachings Truth is One; Paths are Many. Disciples across the world revere him and he was the author of philosophical and spiritual books such as The Golden Present, Beyond words, Yoga Sutra of Patanjali, Know Yourself, Living Gita speak highly of his scholarly wisdom.
