Highly qualified, Post-Graduate trained and dedicated teachers take care of the well being of the children both in the school as well in the hostel. They are oriented before the commencement of every academic year so that they are equipped with the latest trends in the art of pedagogy. Many are doctorates and some are doing their Research in the field of education, thus making the faculty, an amalgamation of knowledge, experience and wisdom. The school has a resident counsellor who takes care of the emotional and other needs of both the boys and the girls. In all, children find in our faculty a true friend, philosopher and a guide. A unique mentoring system makes children feel that they are safe in the trustworthy hands that shape their future destiny.
Teachers also undergo workshops and seminars to update their subject knowledge and are trained to be resource persons as well.
Providing children with the pastoral care is the main purpose of teachers in a boarding school set up. Trained in child-psychology, handpicked House-in-charges perform their duties with utmost dedication. At Satchidananda, the role of a teacher assumes a much larger role — teachers become facilitators – in all the activities that students take part in. The healthy teacher student ratio allows every member of the faculty to mentor individuals, work with them on their strengths and address their weaknesses with suitable remedial measures.
A team of efficient and dedicated non-teaching staff ably supports teachers. Together, they are available for students on a 24 x 7 basis.
Regular training programmes, seminars and workshops are conducted in the school premises and teachers are also encouraged to participate in the regional and the national training events.
