Satchidananda Jothi Nikethan International school has always been looking for opportunities to spread its wings overseas. To usher our children into world leaders, we have tied up with one of the schools in the UK named the Bourne West Field Primary Academy, Bourne (BWPA), Lincolnshire, UK. The Bourne West Field Primary Academy in the UK and Satchidananda Jothi Nikethan International School have one thing in common – both were willing to exchange their staff and students on mutual basis – to exchange the best of the pedagogical practices practiced between them.
Two of the teachers – Dr. V. Ganesan, the Academic Advisor, and Mr. N.K. Sekaran, a teacher of English paid a visit to the UK and spent a fortnight in the school teaching Tamil, Yoga and introduced one of the great epics – the Ramayana. In addition, they also observed the latest pedagogical practices and the evaluation process there.
The two-week exchange program gave insight into the way a British school is functioning and how their punctuality and self-discipline rule the world even today.
Regularly the teachers and students of both the schools met on Zoom to exchange various ideas and exchanged sending artifacts before the team visited the UK.
The proposal is to send students to this exchange program. This tie-up has opened many doors for cultural exchange with other countries as well.
